The Edinburgh Surgery Online programmes offer a broad range of scholarships, which range in their value and eligibility criteria.

Edinburgh Surgery Online Global Scholarships
There are a number of scholarships available which includes full tuition fees with contribution towards cost of internet access, printing and project costs. Applicants must be resident in Africa, South Asia, Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands or Central and South America.
Value: 100% fees, subject to satisfactory progress

ASiT - Edinburgh Surgery Online Bursary
There are eighteen ASiT-Edinburgh Online Surgery bursaries, each worth £1000 annually, to support ASiT members undertaking the MSc in Surgical Sciences, ChMs in General surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Urology and Endovascular & Vascular Surgery and the MSc in Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors,
Value: £1000 annually

The Garden Scholarship – MSc in Surgical Sciences
This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and evidence of a commitment to a career in surgery, to a second or third year student enrolled on the MSc in Surgical Sciences. Applicants must be both nationals of and resident in a country defined as a low and middle income country.
Value: £1000 annually, which will be deducted from annual tuition fee

The Lt.Col Jack Wishart Scholarship – In Trauma & Orthopaedics
Two scholarships are available to applicants enrolled on either the ChM Trauma and Orthopaedics or the MSc in Surgical Sciences programmes. The award will contribute £500 annually for the duration of the programme, and will be deducted from tutition fees.
Applicants must be both nationals and resident of the following countries:

The Sanders Scholarship in Ophthalmology – ChM in Clinical Ophthalmology and MSc in Primary Care Ophthalmology
There are a number of Scholarships available to support students undertaking the MSc in Primary Care Ophthalmology & ChM in Clinical Ophthalmology, each worth £1000. Successful candidates who recieve the award in their first year of study may re-apply in each subsequent year.

Commonwealth Scholarships

The David and Molly Pyott Foundation Scholarships in Ophthalmology
There are twelve scholarships available for students from Africa, South Asia, Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands, Central and South America who have been accepted for admission to the ChM in Clinical Ophthalmology in the academic session 2020/21. Each Scholarship will cover the full tuition fees and funding towards a laptop and internet service.
